DESCRIPTION OF THE RESEARCH LINE:
Research line studying the molecular basis and pathophysiology of pancreatic and hepatic diseases. It focuses mainly on studying the role of redox signalling in the inflammatory response and cell death in experimental acute pancreatitis in mice, and potential preclinical therapeutic approaches. The molecular basis and redox regulation of pancreatic cancer are also studied. The study of liver diseases, such as alcoholic liver disease and biliary cirrhosis, is also contemplated.
